I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. At the age of 11, my parents and I migrated to the United States and resided in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan.
In high school I was able to take art courses, where I displayed and sold some of my work. I attended a junior college and later Wayne State University, but due to full time jobs and raising a family, my art had to be put on hold.
I worked in the insurance industry for about four years until my wife and I decided to move down to the Tampa, Florida area. There, after about a year in the insurance field, I was introduced to the automobile business where I spent the following 38 years, mostly in management and training.
Upon my retirement in 2015, my wife and I decided to move to Leicester, NC, where we could be near our daughter and son-in-law to help with their farm. When we completed our move, my passion for art was rekindled and I began to actively pursue my love for drawing and painting.
My new beginning was focused on family and friends. I found that I was able to capture pets personalities and created lasting memories for their owners. I felt compelled to also create on canvas memorials for friends to honor a son that they lost in Iraqi Freedom.
I found that it is easy to be inspired when one is surrounded by beauty and can capture the same on canvas. It is also fulfilling to relive some of my international travels through my art creations.
I was blessed with a wonderful family. Included in that is our son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren residing in Florida, with whom we share time as often as possible.
Life is good.
